The brief is blunt: stop running NPI and CapEx as isolated initiatives and treat them as one governed portfolio.
Daikin’s stated gaps were the ones every manufacturing PMO knows by feel—fragmented project intake, fuzzy task ownership, and historical performance data too thin to forecast or schedule realistically. Senior Program Manager Cray Vidrine framed the win as visibility and intelligence to manage projects as a connected portfolio, not a pile of status decks.
Cora won on multilingual and multicurrency support, dynamic scenario planning, and intelligent project dependency management—the tools that turn “which programs slip if we pull that plant CapEx forward?” into a decision instead of a spreadsheet fight. Adrian Morrissey, Cora’s CRO, cast it as a multi-year PMO maturity journey, not a one-shot tool swap.
That same planning pressure is showing up on the engineering-to-manufacturing thread. Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Easy Plan 2606 shipped a conversational Manufacturing Planning Agent that drafts MBOM and BOP content from natural-language intent, with guardrails so planners stay inside their working scope while change impact lands at the occurrence level.
Planisware’s mid-2026 PPM trend map puts the same bets at portfolio scale: AI-driven capacity forecasting, centralized demand intake, real-time data instead of stale status packs, and scenario simulation before CapEx commits. PMOs that still reconcile fifteen spreadsheets are already behind the governance bar manufacturers are buying.
For N23D, Daikin’s move is the product bar in plain English: schedule risk, CapEx gates, dependencies, and scenario trade-offs belong inside the same native Rust binary as CAD and PLM—a real PMO view, not another export pretending to be the portfolio.
