SAP Puts Signavio + LeanIX Under AI Agents as the Operating Backbone

At the SAP Transformation Excellence Summit in Atlanta on September 22, 2026, SAP framed Business Transformation Management—Signavio, LeanIX, WalkMe, and Cloud ALM—as the operational backbone for deploying, governing, and scaling AI agents across the Autonomous Enterprise. The pitch is not another chatbot layer; it is process intelligence, enterprise architecture, digital adoption, and transformation execution as one system agents must run through.

SAP Signavio pushes AI into every stage of process work: a Process Consulting Agent that mines SAP and non-SAP performance data, surfaces bottlenecks, and recommends where agents create the most value; an AI-native Process Modeler with governance and real-time collaboration on one canvas; and a Company Memory preview so people and agents share one source of rules, standards, and process know-how. Process Intelligence closes the loop with increasingly agent-driven monitoring of how work actually runs.

SAP LeanIX turns enterprise architecture from a documented shelf into active context agents reason over: an enterprise knowledge repository of approved principles and technical decisions; an extended AI Enterprise Architect Assistant; an AI Agent Hub that inventories agents, LLMs, and MCP servers with owners and capabilities; and an AI Governance Assistant that embeds EU AI Act and NIST compliance intelligence with automatic risk reclassification when systems change. That is LeanIX-class EA as the trust layer for agent design and runtime—not a PDF architecture deck.

For shops already living in change control, this is a BUS story first: states, transitions, and decisions that gate when an agent may act, with architecture inventory and compliance intelligence sitting on the same graphical surface as the process model—not a separate EA tool bolted on after the flowchart.
